workin' on it

This morning Abel was able to accompany us all to Antonio's field trip to the pizza place.  Where they showed the kids how to make a pepperoni pizza.  Fitting of course.  So I'm doing a little more research about Vegan health especially for the kids.  I have a lot more to learn about what will Bella drink, how to make tofu scrambled eggs,  or a white sauce.

I've always thought it would be a lot of work to be conscientious of what I buy.  It is going to be work but it will be worth it.  The eggs I bought are certified happy hen eggs, so I think I can add products I trust back into the house after we have gone to the soy life.  After I have rid the house of meats, learned how to cook with soy, and introduced more fruits, and veggies into our lives.  I'm starting to doubt myself too, which I knew would happen. I will just try my best to be a good steward

It's Friday. I did a pretty good job of forgetting about it all day.  I really like my job, I like being there, I like being a professional, it's nice to get away from domestic life for a bit.  But it would be really nice to have my weekends.  I'm really thinking about it today, because Pie Day is tomorrow.  And I will miss it unless by some act of God it is super slow.  Please, God. :)

Lord, look upon me with eyes of mercy, may your healing hand rest upon me, may your life giving powers flow into every cell of my body and into the depths of my soul, cleansing, purifying, restoring me to wholeness and strength for service in your Kingdom. Amen.

  1. Hi Katie! I just got caught up on your blog :) We started rethinking our meet last year. Bleh! Chris isn't a big fan of beef anyway, so we've just been eating less meat altogether (beef and chicken). I do keep milk, eggs and yogurt in our diet - but only organic. I also bought beef directly from some friends whose cows graze happily in their grassy field.
