On Amazon I bought the Pope's new book about Jesus' last few days. Starting when he entered Jerusalem, until his Resurrection. It has been a long time since I have read something at that level. So I am forcing myself to put into my own words each section after I read it. So far I like it, and I look forward to reading it each night. Some of the parts it seems like he wanted to go into more detail but in that he would be stepping into controversy over how part may be interpreted a certain way over another. Plus I don't think I could really handle much more depth. I hope by indulging the intellectual side of my relationship with God, it will help all the way around. It can't hurt right?
I took the kids to the drug store to get Bella some more topical antibiotic, and some of the a fore mentioned drawer labels. I'm not sure I can bring the kids there again. There is too much stuff that is just too awesome. Antonio fell in love with a little mini plastic gumball machine. I mean really in love. He cried about half the evening because I wouldn't swear to buy it for him at that instant. Andrew found a thing that had Lightning McQueen on it. Therefore rendering it totally awesome. But not only did this toy have McQueen, it also lit up, and spun around. Wow! Really what could be better, a toy that gives you gum? your favorite character with a spinning light? I am the worst mom for not giving them their heart's desire right then. But we did have a deal. No new toys during lent. Andrew keeps confusing it with Christmas. Antonio wanted to see what the Easter Bunny looked like. We tried to Google what the Easter Bunny looks like, and we found actually a lot of frightening things. Girls in bunny suits, very scary looking bunnies, and one rabbit humping a chicken, with I'm sure a joke about Cadburry eggs. It was actually kind of funny. I think I would prefer to tell the kids there is not an Easter Bunny. I really wanted to tell them there was no Santa this year. It just really gets in the way for the real reason for the Holiday. In my family telling a child too early there is no Santa is really considered some sort of child abuse. But this is my family, and I don't think I really like the Easter Bunny anyway it really is sort of weird.
