hard work

Today I don't know.  We took care of the taxes.  Antonio is spending the night with a friend.  I remember these days of only having two.  Bella is growing up so fast.  He vocabulary is crazy!  I heard her say "color crayon" today.  She asks for things by holding out her hand and saying "hand" It's so funny how all three kids are so different.  They boys never said "hand" or tried to feed their stuffed animals, or hugged one another when they were crying.  She is my little girl.  I got her new earrings today.  And I got a nice new skirt for myself.  And I just bought some books on Amazon.   I am sort of in a spendy mood today.  When we did our taxes we were shocked when she told us our annual income was $105 grand.  Really Abel asks, "then where is it?"  but we do have a rather large chunk of savings, that has grown since maternity leave.  So I told Abel that we need to stop working so darn hard.  What the heck is it for anyway?

So my Lenten journey progresses without much progress.

Let us detach ourselves in spirit from all that we see, and cling to that which we believe. This is the cross which we must imprint on all our daily actions and behavior.
